🍭 Debian 11.0 "Bullseye" is about to be released | Now completely frozen | Debian 10 Buster to 11
Debian 11, codenamed "bullseye," has been formally launched and will be supported for up to five years before being phased out. According to The Register, the long-term support is made possible by the use of version 5.10 of the Linux kernel, which will provide support until 2026.
The latest version from the Debian project is notable for adding several new features to the Linux distribution, including native support for exFAT file systems and support for GNOME Flashback desktop environments such as KDE Plasma 5.20, LXDE 11, LXQt 0.16, and MATE 1.24.
Additionally, USB printers can now be treated as network devices thanks to new ipp-usb packages, making driverless printing work better with USB-connected printers.
