Delta Force: Hawk Ops is undergoing its first alpha test, and as players get to know the shooter better, concerns are growing about potential pay-to-win features. While other shooters are happy to sell you in-game currency, a Team Jade developer promises that Hawk Ops won't do that.
No Pay to Win Microtransactions in Delta Force: Hawk Ops! Let's hope it stays that way…
In an AMA Reddit thread on August 13, Delta Force: Hawk Ops game director Shadow Guo assured us that the game will never be pay-to-win. "As a dedicated FPS gamer, I have ensured that our team places great importance on the global player experience and community. The primary content we offer our players for purchase includes weapon skins, character cosmetics, and battle passes," Guo wrote.
The game director explained that the large-scale Havoc Warfare mode will have “no pay-to-win elements,” and that the devs will never sell resources like Tekniq Alloy or the gear in Hazard Ops. Instead, you can expect to earn them through gameplay, participating in events, or trading with other players. The highest vault levels will also be available for free.
“In addition, a large number of safes in Hazard Ops will be given away during our community events, and more seasonal rewards will be provided through the Battle Pass. We also promise that all multiplayer content will be free to experience, with no game content locked behind a paywall,” Guo wrote in a closing paragraph.
