If you were into shooter games in the late 90s and early 2000s, you’ve probably heard of Delta Force. This popular game franchise is finally getting a reboot, making a big comeback years later.

Delta Force: Hawk Ops will be a free-to-play FPS that will continue the legacy of the forgotten series and hopefully breathe new life into it. The game is being developed by TiMi Studio and Team Jade and will be available on multiple platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
The most recent trailer for the game was shown off during the 2024 Summer Game Fest. The first half of the trailer shows off actual gameplay from a chapter of the Delta Force: Hawk Ops campaign. It gave us a general idea of the game’s mechanics, weapons, and setting, but I can’t wait to see more.
The second half of the trailer gets even more interesting when the Battle of Mogadishu sequence takes over. This will also be a campaign mission in the game, set in 1993 Somalia, directly inspired by the 2003 hit Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. I'm not surprised that the developers are banking on nostalgia to some extent, but the game's success will only be determined by the players.
