Destiny 2 offers a ton of perks that you can apply to your guardians and weapons to boost their stats. Cascade Point is one of those weapon perks, and I’ll be going into detail about what it does and what weapons it can appear on in the game.
Cascade Point Weapon Perk – Destiny 2
After scoring a kill or multiple precision hits, Cascade Point grants you a Cascade Point Ready buff for five seconds. It also reduces fire delay by 2.5 seconds, 30% for SMGs or Machine Guns, and 40% for other archetypes.
In short, the Cascade Point perk temporarily increases a weapon’s rate of fire, making it quite powerful for taking out enemies with a lot of health. The purpose of using Cascade Point is to allow you to use a secondary weapon or sidearm to take out smaller mobs before using your main weapon to take out a larger target.
