In addition to the weekend-only Trials of Osiris, Destiny 2 is introducing another regular PvP event in the form of Iron Banner.
Destiny 2: TOMB OF ELDERS & FUTURE UNLOCKED! Exotic Bug, NEW Armor, Act 2 Info, Banner Delay, and More
The mode is hosted by Lord Saladin (even after he went to the Cabal army as part of Season of the Risen). The mode is played three times per season and lasts the entire week. It starts on the Tuesday Reset and remains available until the following Tuesday.
In 2022’s Season of the Haunted, Bungie has overhauled the mode to bring it more in line with other vendors and activities. Saladin now has its own reputation track, following the newer model of rank-based rewards instead of the token system it used in the past. Players can also target Iron Engrams to specific weapons, similar to Saint-14 or The Drifter.
In Season of Defiance and Lightfall, Bungie also added the ability to focus older armor sets with the Iron Lord. Older Iron Banner armor sets that were seemingly lost to time are now back, and players can earn them by spending their hard-earned Iron Engrams.
