Destiny 2 guardians will face off against the Witness in The Final Shape, but the villain might not be the biggest sticking point. An upcoming Strike could pose a problem on higher difficulties, according to a Bungie dev.

“I want this Strike to be the hardest Strike we’ve ever made,” Bungie test lead Ada Kos said in a video documentary released today. “I want people to scream and cry over this Strike and just say, how do I beat this Strike on Grandmaster difficulty?” the seven-time Conqueror developer added.
Each new Destiny 2 expansion year typically brings at least one Strike, often found in the higher-difficulty Nightfall pool. These can push the boundaries of the difficulty spectrum, as The Glassway and Proving Grounds did earlier in the year, Beyond Light, and The Lightblade did with The Witch Queen.
While players are unlikely to overexert themselves with the normal version, its appearance in the Nightfall pool could almost certainly ensure that Kos achieves his goals, especially as he scales up to Master and Grandmaster level.
