Diablo 4's very first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, was supposed to release today at 6pm CST. However, Blizzard has announced that there is a minor technical issue, so the newest expansion will be delayed for a while. The exact release time is still unknown.

The developers have been doing everything they can to build up anticipation for the Vessel of Hatred expansion's release by dropping hourly video updates on the official Diablo 4 X (formerly Twitter) account, with each tweet featuring a new element or activity for players to enjoy in the expansion. The latest update, however, revealed that the expansion's launch has been delayed, but the developers "expect to release the expansion tonight."
At the time of writing, the developers have not yet revealed the status of this technical issue or when we can expect Nahantu. We do know that the team needed more time to ensure the expansion and season six were rolled out simultaneously across all platforms.
With every season or content update, there always seems to be some sort of glitch before launch, and bugs always crop up when we least expect them. Given that this is the first expansion for Diablo 4, and given that it coincides with the release of season six, it was expected that today’s update would be riddled with a few bugs and errors. But no one was expecting such a long delay to launch. However, it wouldn’t be a Diablo 4 release if anything went as planned.
