Surface Pro 7: How to Fix Keyboard Not Working and Unresponsive (2 Solutions)

Have you bought a new Microsoft Surface in the last few days? The Surface is definitely an interesting new tablet, especially when you combine it with the new Touch Cover and Type Cover that you can use with it. The Touch Cover is especially cool because it doesn’t even really have any buttons like a regular keyboard.

Microsoft recently released a series of ads that focused on the “click” sound that is made when you attach a Type or Touch Cover to your Surface. It’s a reassuring click sound so you know your keyboard is attached properly. The annoying click sound is when you type on the Touch Cover and Windows plays a click sound that makes it feel like you’re using a keyboard with real keys. I think some people will find this amusing because it helps them figure out whether they actually pressed a key or not.

However, after a few hours of typing, I quickly started to get annoyed by the fake click sound. Luckily, you can get rid of it. It immediately reminded me of the days when Internet Explorer made that annoying click sound when you refreshed a web page or clicked on a link.
