When you’re sitting at your keyboard, there are few things as frustrating as accidentally hitting a distracting key. For example, the Windows key can cause some full-screen applications to minimize.

Pressing the Alt key can sometimes completely block all subsequent key input. Accidentally pressing these keys without knowing it can cause great inconvenience and confusion.

Many of the common solutions that let you disable key input on Windows are now obsolete. For example, Simple Disable Key is no longer freeware. Both SharpKeys and KeyTweak are not officially supported by the latest versions of Windows. So, what do you do when you run out of options? You build your own!
