According to Apple's rumor monger extraordinaire Mark Gurman, Apple may still be working on a multi-device charging mat akin to the never-released AirPower product. Meanwhile, Apple's longtime partner and accessory brand Belkin is already at it with version two of its MagSafe 3-in-1 charging mat. But what's the point of it, other than making a great gift?
“A universal charger design, whether USB-C or another standard, would absolutely be more useful, but would also leave fewer opportunities for Apple to sell new products,” Devon Fata, CEO of design firm Pixoul, told Lifewire via email.
Question one: How often do you charge all of your devices at once? And by devices, we mean a specific set of gadgets: your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch. For me, the only time I do this is when I’m traveling, and the only time I need to charge is when I’m back at the hotel while I’m sleeping.
