Have you been playing for a while and are wondering if you should level up all the characters in Honkai Star Rail? Well, you are not alone, this is a fair question, especially if you are a new player. There are a lot of characters in HSR and when you consider their paths and battle types, things get more complicated. At first, you might think that not every character is worth leveling up and that you should only focus on your main team. While that is true for the most part, these are the levels you should consider reaching if you plan on climbing them.
FFXIV – Anime Campaign AND PEGI (30s)
The answer is both yes and no, because it depends on how many characters you have. If you want to play Forgotten Hall, you will need 2 teams, which means 8 characters. Your focus here will be mainly on two things that cover the enemy’s weakness. The biggest reason why you should level your characters to 80 is because of the level gap mechanic. Basically, if your character is 10 or even 5 levels lower than the enemy, you will be at a disadvantage, both in dealing and receiving damage.
Therefore, you should start by leveling all of your characters to at least level 70. Then, you can level your supports with good Traces to level 75. And finally, you should level your main and sub DPS characters to level 80.
Leveling and character Ascension depends on how many materials you have. Gathering them can be especially tricky if you're a free-to-play player. So after you've fully leveled up your main characters, instead of leveling up all the other characters you own, it's better to save them for future characters that are added to the game later.
