You'd be surprised how many car manufacturers are getting into e-bikes. Ford has now joined the group.
Ford Announces New E-Bikes: My Reaction and Overview
Ford announced Wednesday a partnership with n+, a bicycle technology company, to produce three new e-bikes based on the Ford Mustang and Bronco brands. The new bikes, one Bronco and two Mustangs, are expected to have features similar to the vehicles for which they are named.
The company calls the Mustang e-bikes “adrenaline chasers.” There are plans for a standard Mustang e-bike and a 60th Anniversary Edition. Both will have 750W hub motors with 85 Nm of torque, a range of up to 28 MPH, and a battery pack that’s expected to offer 60 miles of range. Ford also said the charge time for those batteries is about 3.5 hours.
Other notable features of the Mustang-branded e-bikes include Pirelli Angel GT tires, driving lights and a full-color LCD panel on the handlebars. The company also said the 60th Anniversary Edition would be "available exclusively through Ford dealers and in limited quantities."
