This article describes different file formats that use the DOP file extension. It also explains how to open and convert each type.

How to open Dropbox files in File Explorer

A file with the DOP file extension may be a plain text correction settings file (also called a sidecar file) that contains the adjustment values for photographs edited with DxO PhotoLab (formerly DxO Optics Pro).

The file has the exact same name as the image, but ends with the .DOP suffix. For example, a CR2 file might be called myimage.cr2.dop.

A DOP file contains many lines of text that refer to specific settings that can be applied to the image. For example, BlurIntensity, HazeRemovalActive, and ColorModeSaturation each have their own value (e.g. 15, false, and 0) to tell DxO PhotoLab how to apply those effects to the corresponding image when it is viewed in the software.
