After you place a graphic object on a PowerPoint slide, adjust its location to position it just right on the slide. To move the object slightly, nudge the object slightly in any direction using common keystrokes.
When you nudge an object in PowerPoint, the object moves in small increments. The direction the object moves depends on which arrow key you press. Select the object, and then use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the object left, right, up, or down until it is exactly where you want it.
If the default PowerPoint nudging setting is too large for a specific need, manually adjust the movement steps. Hold down Ctrl while pressing the arrow keys to move in 1.25 point increments.
When you first install PowerPoint, the Snap Object to Grid feature is enabled. This setting also determines the spacing for the nudge.
