This article explains what a DVT file is and how to open or convert it on your computer.
A file with the .DVT extension is a DepoView Digital Video Transcript file. It can be associated with a video so that when they are opened together, the transcript can be displayed simultaneously with the video. When the video and transcript are merged into one, the result uses the .DVI suffix.
DVT files can be opened with inData's DepoView, via the File > Open Transcript menu.
Since DVT files are transcriptions that contain text, there’s a good chance they can be opened with a text editor, such as Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on macOS. Check out our list of the best free text editors for other options for opening the file as a text document.
