Dying Light 2 review | PC Gamer

In Dying Light 2: Stay Human, the world is thrown into chaos when the Harran virus escapes its containment from the first game. The pandemic of this virus has caused widespread problems and soon people are on the brink of extinction. Governments have collapsed, nations have collapsed, and human civilization has fallen to its knees. But at the end of the world, there is one place left standing. The last bastion of hope, Villedor City. Here, the rules are different, stricter to protect the last surviving souls. One wrong move and you will find yourself surrounded by the infected or rival human factions. That's where the game's protagonist, Aiden Caldwell, comes in. You play as Aiden in this infected world in search of your sister, Mia Caldwell.

During his journey, Aiden meets many people such as Spike, Lawan, Hakon, Sophia, and so on. Each character is unique and has interesting backstories. The outbreak has been unforgivable for everyone involved. Losing loved ones, witnessing the horrors, and more have traumatized those who survived. Your job as Aiden is to save Mia and the people of Villedor City.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human improved on everything from its 2015 predecessor. The map is bigger and better with lots of open spaces and small rooms and narrow passages to set up traps. There were many times where I stopped and just watched the sunset because it was so peaceful and beautiful. It brought me joy knowing that the moment I left, I would encounter Infecteds. Dying Light 2: Stay Human added a lot of new mechanics and they fit very well with how the game’s map is made. The map is designed with high mobility in mind, which opens up the revamped Parkour system. Additionally, you get movement-based gadgets like the Grapplehook and the Paraglider that allow you to travel across large areas very easily. This will help you cover a lot of ground in no time, despite the large map.
