My New Tech Bag – eBags Professional Slim Laptop Backpack Review
A common request for business travelers is a bag that is a little more organized and easier to store on a flight or bus than the standard bulky carry-on. The eBags Professional Slim Laptop Bag is largely the answer to these hopes and dreams. A durable exterior, clever front pocket organization, and multiple carrying options allow the Professional Slim to do the heavy lifting of larger, more expensive bags. It can get uncomfortable when weighed down, but that’s a minor quibble for a fantastically versatile bag.
Since many bags in this category have the same color and shape, we’re always happy when something stands out. Not only does the Professional Slim have a different look and feel on the outside, but the inside does a lot with a small amount of space. The interior pockets are all an orange color that really brightens up the bag without being overpowering. This is especially handy when you’re rummaging through the bag, looking for an elusive item. The front pocket swings out, giving you easy access to the inside.
The Professional Slim makes good use of that front compartment, with a number of pen holders, pockets and clear mesh cutouts. Perhaps it’s over-compartmentalization, but we liked having so much space for small items, and the five zipped compartments make that possible. A fleece-lined tablet sleeve at the top of the bag, near the handle, is also great for stashing smaller items like books or even a phone.
