The perfect choice for KDE desktop users
Linux App – KDE Partition Manager
Every time you install Linux, you are given the option to partition your hard drive. This is necessary because Linux in most cases needs its own partition to function.
Partitioning a hard drive is essentially dividing the hard drive into separate, discrete sections, each of which is seen by the computer as an individual hard drive. Partitioning lets Windows say "this is my drive" and Linux say "this is my drive" and since each operating system needs its own file system, problem solved.
However, sometimes you need to partition your hard drive when you’re not installing. Maybe you’ve purchased an external hard drive and are preparing it for installation, or maybe you just need to convert some unused space into something usable. For KDE users, a program called KDE Partition Manager is a great option.
