Elden Ring's long-awaited Shadow of the Erdtree expansion has proven to be an outright success, becoming a bestseller on Steam within the first few hours of its release.
Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree – All Bosses + Ending (4K 60FPS)
The DLC has already amassed impressive player numbers, with over 550,000 players having delved into the new content—a metric that could potentially challenge Elden Ring’s original peak player count of over 950,000 this weekend. Shadow of the Erdtree has also seen a lot of love from players already, despite many yet to fully explore the expansion’s massive amount of content.
While the hype for FromSoftware’s new expansion is undeniable, with over half a million players venturing into the Lands Between once again, there’s a surprising twist at the top of the Steam charts. Despite all the excitement surrounding Elden Ring, a game called Banana currently sits at the number one most-played game in the charts. Banana is a clicker game where players, as the name suggests, click on a banana to earn points and unlock virtual themed items.
Every three and 18 hours, the player will receive a random banana in their Steam inventory, all of which are community-generated. These bananas can be sold on the Steam Marketplace, with rare pulls fetching high prices. Most, however, sell for just a few cents.
