Riot Games has adjusted the format of the EMEA Masters in preparation for the summer event, based on player feedback. The tournament is scheduled to run from July 31st to August 30th, and will now feature more teams competing in more best-of-fives.

After a mixed reception to the format introduced earlier this year, Riot is revamping the tournament format, promising a more engaging and competitive experience for both participating teams and spectators. With a larger pool of teams, a Swiss Stage, and adjustments to the slot distribution, Riot aims to address community concerns.
Riot has also adjusted the slot distribution to ensure a "fairer" representation across regions. Accredited ERLs will now each receive six slots, with the top three teams qualifying directly for the Swiss Stage and the remaining three teams competing in the Last Chance Qualifier. Non-accredited ERLs will qualify four teams, with the distribution based on their performance in recent EM events.
The upcoming summer event will feature a 60-team tournament, providing more opportunities for regional talent to showcase their skills, starting with competitions in the LCQ.
