The 2024 Esports World Cup continues into August with Fortnite, with 16 teams and 64 players competing for the lion’s share of a massive $1 million prize pool starting on August 8.

However, this isn’t the regular battle royale version of Fortnite that we know and love. This time around, there will be a bit of a twist for the Esports World Cup. Here’s everything you need to know about the format, schedule, results, and streams for this week’s Fortnite tournament in Riyadh.
The Fortnite Esports World Cup 2024 events will see 16 teams of four go head-to-head, but this won’t be your typical battle royale event. Instead, EWC will use the UEFN Creator to simulate classic modes like Capture the Flag, Hardpoint, and Shrinking Zone. Teams will have to navigate to claim victory.
Groups see the teams divided into four groups of four, each playing a GSL-style double-elimination bracket. The two that advance from that bracket are then placed into the single-elimination playoffs, with a champion crowned on August 11th.
