Meta has announced a number of new tools that will give users more control and customization over their Facebook feed.

Facebook can be a dark hell sometimes. You never know what kind of message that high school kid is going to fire at you. But these newly announced features give you more control over the algorithm to limit the types of messages that appear in your feed.
At the heart of this update are the “Show more” and “Show less” buttons, which now appear on certain posts. Show more increases the rank score for that post and all posts similar to it, helping you shine the spotlight on the things you like. The reverse is true for Show less, which helps you reduce the types of posts you don’t like.
The people or groups you’ve customized won’t be alerted to changes, so your family members can continue with their hot takes. Facebook’s all-knowing artificial intelligence algorithm will be alerted, though, and the company says this will make it “smarter and more responsive.”
