NEWS: The Fallout 4 Next Gen Update Release Date #fallout4
Originally released in 2015, Fallout 4 remains the latest mainline installment in the franchise, more than eight years later. Now, new and veteran players alike can dive back into post-apocalyptic Boston with a new set of updates that improve the game for next-gen consoles. It’s been a long wait for these improvements, and it will be even longer before we finally get Fallout 5, but for now you can enjoy the Fallout 4 next-gen update and other goodies.
The Fallout 4 next-gen update is available to download now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC beginning at 12:00 p.m. CT on April 25, alongside its accompanying patch. To access this update, you must own Fallout 4 for that device unless you have Xbox Game Pass.
If you already own Fallout 4 on PlayStation or Xbox, you can download the next-gen update for free. Game Pass subscribers can also access the new update by downloading Fallout 4 on a supported platform; PlayStation Plus users have reported issues getting the update to work, though Bethesda has confirmed that it will be available via PlayStation Plus Extra.
