There are plenty of creatures to slay in the Wastelands in Fallout 76, from mutated animals to aliens. If you're on the trail of the Flatwoods Monster, read on to find out where it is and how to defeat it.
Fallout 76 Legendary Flatwood Monster Located And Defeated
The most likely reason you'll want to hunt down the Flatwoods Monster is if you've picked up the Raider Punk's Exterminate the Flatwoods Monster ally quest. He's a potential camp ally and can be encountered at the Crater Core or in random encounters.
If you are doing this for another reason (as a daily or as part of an event) and have not yet spoken to Raider Punk, I recommend doing so. Raider Punk will give you the location as part of his quest and you will also get a reward once you complete it. This will also specifically take you to a Mythical Flatwoods Monster (location indicated on the map below).
If you don’t find any here, they’re scattered all over Appalachia and don’t have set spawn locations. That means you’ll have to search the region or restart on a different server (or private server). They only spawn at night with a 2.5% chance of appearing at any creature spawn location. On the bright side, you can’t miss them, as they have glowing purple eyes and hover menacingly above the ground.
