Team FOLON, the group of volunteer modders responsible for the hugely popular Fallout London mod, are planning to launch a brand new indie studio following the project's massive success.

While work continues on fixes and a substantial content patch for the overall conversion mod, the dev team is moving toward something bigger. Speaking to BBC News on August 10, FOLON's Dean "Prilladog" Carter outlined future plans following the mainstream spotlight on his ambitious Fallout 4 mod. "A lot of people who enjoyed [Fallout London] donated to us and what we're doing with that is we're channeling that into Team FOLON," Carter said.
Carter explained that the new venture will allow them to come up with original ideas and create their own game, and they will no longer have to deal with tricky scenarios where their project could be affected by another company.
Notably, Fallout London's initial release on St. George's Day had to be delayed, thanks to the Fallout 4 Next Gen update. While game companies aren't legally obligated to communicate with modders, we've seen examples of collaboration between the two in titles like Stardew Valley and Paradox Grand Strategy.
