Amazon's Fallout television series took everyone to the Wasteland earlier this year, and it looks like it won't be long before the series returns.
The Fallout TV series just got a surprise update for season 2
In an interview with Variety , Amazon MGM Studios heads Jennifer Salke and Vernon Sanders discussed some of the Prime Video shows and films that were recently nominated for multiple Primetime Emmys. Fallout was nominated for multiple awards, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Walton Goggins' portrayal of The Ghoul. When asked about Fallout's success, Salke and Sanders said that they're committed to continuing the stories of Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul as quickly as possible.
"We've been fortunate, because that was the vision all along," Sanders said. "I think we're ahead of schedule, as far as getting Season 2 back." Sanders went on to explain that while scripts for Season 2 are already underway, they don't have an exact launch date in mind at this time.
For a production as big as Fallout, it’s definitely positive to hear that the scripts are finished and production can begin soon, especially in today’s Hollywood landscape where fans often have to wait years for a new season of their favorite show. And with critical acclaim, award recognition, and high ratings, Fallout has the opportunity to stay in the conversation as much as possible.
