FandangoNOW and Vudu have merged into one streaming service that will serve as the official movie and TV service of Roku TV.
FandangoNOW Officially Merging With VUDU (What You Need to Know)!
The companies announced the merger on Tuesday, a little over a year after Fandango bought Walmart's on-demand video service known as Vudu, TechCrunch reports. The newly merged service will simply be called Vudu.
Vudu will offer more than 200,000 movies and TV shows to rent or buy without a subscription, including new box office hits. You’ll be able to watch F9: The Fast Saga, Pixar’s Luca, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, Peter Rabbit 2, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, A Quiet Place Part II, Disney’s Cruella, Godzilla vs. Kong and In the Heights, plus Black Widow starting next week.
Existing FandangoNOW customers won’t lose access to their previously purchased content, as all content will automatically transfer from the old service to Vudu. TechCrunch also notes that customers can rent or purchase titles on Vudu using Roku Pay.
