After exploring the world offered in the last 2 DLCs included in the FC6 Season Pass, players certainly know what to expect from the Joseph's Collapse DLC. The formula is the same rogue-lite, with players getting an insight into the character's mind as they embark on a path of self-redemption. But considering Joseph is the least-liked antagonist of all the FC Villains, can he carry an entire DLC on his shoulders? We share our thoughts in this Far Cry 6 Joseph Collapse DLC Review.
Far Cry 6 Joseph: Collapse DLC Review
Far Cry 6 Joseph Collapse DLC presents you with a darker version of Hope County, Montana after the nuclear end. But like the previous parts, this one also takes place in the mind of the main character, so the world is green with life. But the world is filled with Joseph's followers, who now turn against him because he failed to save them as he promised. Joseph's followers take on the role of his inner demons and sins that haunt him because of his sins.
The DLC details the events that lead to Joseph becoming the man he is in FC5. This DLC is primarily a redemption story, with the voice of “God” guiding Joseph throughout his journey. God’s voice, which sounds a lot like Joseph’s own, can be expressed as his own inner demons talking to him.
The world of Joseph Seed’s mind is perfect for Collapse. He wakes up in the same bunker he kept himself in during the nuclear end of FC5. Joseph Seed knows in his mind that he can’t forgive himself for letting his family die. He can’t get over his failure to save the people of Hope County. But when his inner “God” voice offers salvation, he chooses to follow it once again.
