Microsoft's new Surface Duo 2 will reportedly be compatible with Near Field Communication (NFC), 5G, and ultra-wideband.
Microsoft Surface Duo 2 FCC filings reveal 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and NFC support – Android Authority
According to Windows Central, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) published documents detailing Microsoft's filing last week, which state that the device will have these capabilities, in addition to "Wireless Power Transfer." Windows Central notes that this could potentially mean Qi Wireless charging or Surface Pen charging.
The 5G and NFC compatibility would mark the first time these features have been made available in a Surface Duo device and are something customers have been requesting. The FCC documents also noted ultra-wideband support in the Surface Duo 2.
Other specs we could potentially see in the new Surface Duo 2 include that the device could be powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor and could feature a triple camera, according to 9to5Google.
