Each new expansion for Final Fantasy 14 brings with it a plethora of new job actions, upgrades, and overhauls. And now that the 81st Letter from the Producer is LIVE, we finally know what to expect from our favorite jobs in Dawntrail.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a new FF14 expansion without at least one or two courses being completely stripped down and remade around a new playstyle. This time around, director and producer Naoki Yoshida explained that while 8.0 focused on strengthening the individuality of each course, the upcoming changes for 7.0 are aimed at streamlining the core gameplay experience.

The changes showcased in the Live Letter appear to focus on simplifying resource and buff management, as well as reducing the amount of button input required during busy damage burst phases. The changes listed in the Live Letter are by no means an exhaustive list of every new skill and tweak coming to Dawntrail, and you won’t know exactly what the experience will be like until you load up the expansion yourself.

One important change that applies to all tasks is the new Action Change settings. These are available under each task action and will automatically switch to the next combination when executed.
