The Warrior of Light’s well-deserved summer adventure is upon us. With the official release of Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail on July 2, players won’t have to wait much longer to jump into an all-new journey with the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.
Dawntrail Will Be the BEST Final Fantasy XIV Expansion Ever | Xeno Reacts to FFXIV PAX Announcement
Unlike many other live service games, FF14 does not impose any restrictions on the pre-order period, and there is no such thing as being too late to get early access. Even after the start of the early access period, you can still “pre-order” Dawntrail until July 2nd and receive an early access registration code. This means that every player will be able to play the game as soon as it goes live, a few days before the “official” release.
FF14: Dawntrail is scheduled to go live on June 28th following a 48-hour maintenance period beginning on June 26th. Barring possible delays due to technical issues or the recent spate of DDoS attacks, maintenance will begin at 4am CT on June 26th and last until 4am CT on June 28th. Don't worry about converting that to your timezone — here are handy timers that show you down to the second when FF14 will go down for maintenance and when Dawntrail will go live.
