Threads launched to much fanfare, but it was missing some key elements. Meta's social network has finally fixed one crucial flaw.
How to Add All Your Instagram Followers to Threads in 2024
The text-based social network has launched a Following feed, which lets you actually read posts from people you chronologically follow. Until now, you've been at the mercy of the app's fickle algorithm, which seemed to favor branded content from power users like Mr. Beast and Fritos over your real-life friends, coworkers, and family. The previous For You feed is still available in case you miss news about giveaways or whatever, but this new option should go a long way toward making the app actually useful for most people.
The update also includes a translation feature, so you can easily read messages from people all over the world. Just click the translate button and let the software do the rest.
There are also new filter categories, an easily accessible follow back button, and more. However, this update does not include hashtags or the ability to search through phrases to find like-minded users.
