Want to use an image you saw on the web on your blog or website? If you don’t have permission to use that image, you could get into trouble. Play it safe and use a filter in Google Image Search to find images that are licensed for reuse.
How to find public domain images using Google Images
By default, Google Image Search shows images without regard to copyright or licenses. However, you can filter your search for images that have a Creative Commons license for reuse or are in the public domain by using Advanced Image Search.
Go to Google Image Search and enter a search term in the search field. It will return a full page of images that match your search term.
At the top of the image screen, click Settings and select Advanced Search from the drop-down menu.
