It’s not uncommon for developers to have to deal with players attempting to cheat the system in their games, from using aimbots to illegally downloading in-game items. For Nexon, the developers behind The First Descendant, ridding their game of scammers and cheaters has been a priority recently.
Is This Farm a Hack? (NOT a Guide) The First Descendant
Fans of The First Descendant have already been particularly impressed with the post-launch support, thanks to consistent updates to the Steam Community News page from the developers and updates to their own website.
Since the release of The First Descendant on June 30, 2024, there have been six different hotfixes, all of which address issues in the game and re-optimize the game for users. Hotfix 1.0.6, which went live on August 2, 2024, was a patch that addressed a number of issues, including a UI display error, the endless activation of Valby's "Clean Up" ability, and added more monster spawns to the "Fortress Outskirts" mission in White-night Gulch. These are just a few of the bugs and player issues that have been addressed in a timely manner by the Nexon team.
Earlier, on August 2, 2024, Nexon published a message on Steam and on their official website about the “crackdown on abusive users” that was carried out between July 26 and August 1, 2024.
