I used to love big phones. I had one of the first Samsung Galaxy Note smartphones. In recent years, however, I’ve gotten used to smaller phones (Google’s Pixel 7a, iPhone 15 Pro) that fit in the back pocket of my favorite jeans. The S24 Ultra doesn’t fit in any pants pocket. It barely fits in the pocket of my winter coat.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra review: Why buy anything else?
Once I got over that and started viewing the S24 Ultra more as a phablet (remember those?), I have to admit it’s a beautiful phone with a gorgeous screen. Plus, it has a built-in S Pen.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is a 6.4 x 3.1 x 0.34-inch (HWD) phone that’s difficult to handle one-handed. It has a large display to match: the front glass is flat, making it feel larger but making it easier to sketch with the S Pen. Previous models, including the S23 Ultra, had a curved panel.
If you like to use your phone with one hand, the S24 and S24+ models are smaller and more manageable.
