The Trident Rod in Fish is available after the Desolate Dwelling update which brings a bunch of new game content. There are two new rods, new enchants, NPCs, items, new fish and more fun stuff. In this guide we will explain the steps to unlock and get the Trident Rod which has 100% Luck, 20% Lure Speed and a chance to sting a fish while catching it, making the mini-game a little easier.

You can get the Trident Rod by completing the Desolate Deep Bestiary, which is a list of all the catchable fish in the Desolate Deep region. But that's not all — you'll also need to have 5 Enchant Relics because they have a purpose in this area.

You’ll need to get to a cave, so make sure you have the Basic Diving Gear, a new item added in this update. It lets you swim longer without having to surface for oxygen. For 3,000C$, you can get it from a few crates in front of the Shipwright in Moosewood.

With your diving gear equipped, you need to find the right location to dive. Get in your boat and head to the area behind Sunstone Island. Keep an eye on the water, as you will see underwater structures from the surface. You will also see a red buoy, where you can buy Advanced Diving Gear for 15,000C$.
