Fitbit Versa Watch Review – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!!
The Fitbit Versa feels like a halfway house between the cheap, simplistic fitness bands of the world and the more robust, expensive smartwatches on the market. It’s considered a smartwatch, and it can handle some of the same core functionality as an Apple Watch or Wear OS device, but the Versa’s style and form factor feel unfamiliar in that world. The end result is an ideal middle ground between the two. It’s not a perfect device, but the Fitbit Versa is functional enough to replace fancier smartwatches for many users, and it’s a sleek and useful fitness companion.
The Fitbit Versa doesn’t have the premium allure of some smartwatches, but perhaps the most obvious thing about it is that it’s also not very big. It’s slimmer than Samsung’s Galaxy Watch and even Apple’s refined Apple Watch Series 4, and it’s also incredibly light. In other words, it’s a fitness band you might put on and forget you’re wearing.
That’s great if you’re working out or staying active throughout the day, and it makes the Versa one of the best watches to wear a sleep tracker with. If you’re looking for a fashion accessory, that’s less appealing. The Fitbit Versa is utilitarian enough, but it’s certainly not a show-stopper. It has a rounded, square case, and its brushed aluminum back looks more than a little plastic from any distance. On the front, the Versa has a huge bezel around the touchscreen itself, which feels cramped within that frame. The Fitbit logo below the display also detracts from the watch’s visual appeal.
