After spending the first half of the year out of the spotlight, superstar LCS jungler Mingyi “Spica” Lu has finally found a home with Dignitas for the 2024 Summer Split — and he’s not holding back when it comes to his former team.
Nice E, Spica
During the announcement of Spica's roster, the 23-year-old former MVP said he first learned FlyQuest would replace him in the starting lineup in 2023 via a Twitter post. The veteran jungler said it was "pretty fucked up" that he had to learn about the change this way.
Spica believes the team didn’t come together in 2023 due to a personality clash, despite being loaded with exceptional top lane talent to support them. He also realized that he wasn’t assertive enough when he was in the organization and that it’s very difficult to connect with your teammates when you’re losing.
In the 2023 mid-season, FlyQuest hired a new roster to start the new year, including superstar jungler Kacper "Inspired" Słoma. He was the direct successor to Spica, but due to the former MVP not being privy to the decision-making process, he was forced to become a content creator and streamer for the first half of 2024.
