Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn comes from New Zealand indie studio A44 and is only the second game in their portfolio, following the release of Ashen, a co-op Soulslite game, in 2019. Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a thoroughly enjoyable adventure through a cursed land, with strange coffee shop owners and a strong smell of gunpowder.

Some devilishly strong combat mechanics, an engaging premise, a fantastic main character, and a disgustingly cute dog/fox/god companion make this a game you'll sink your teeth into and enjoy.

Hordes of dead pour out of “The Door,” and Nor Vanek (Olive Gray) must track down her adoptive father, Baz (Elias Toufexis), who’s fled there on a sort of suicide mission.
You make your way through the trenches to track him down, and eventually you succeed. You continue on with your comrades before encountering an enemy that none of you could ever defeat, the 'Gate Guardian', and you are unceremoniously slammed into the ground and thrown into the dark water below.
