Former pro player and streamer Pujan “FNS” Mehta was recently ridiculed during the VCT Americas broadcast when the production staff showed an old match of his from when he was still playing for NRG. In the match against MIBR, they showed his poor stats to the fans, much to the 32-year-old veteran’s chagrin.
While FNS said he was okay with the way the broadcast mocked him, he eventually explained why he wasn’t happy with the situation in general. He told his viewers that if Riot can mock VALORANT players in such a way, it’s not fair that players are punished for BMing opponents during official matches.
"How can you fine people for teabagging, shooting bodies, and cursing at the other team when you're in the zone, and then allow production to outright disrespect players by showing weird stats for no reason?" FNS explained during his stream. "If you're going to talk shit as production to get a reaction, why can't the players do the same?"
