There are a lot of productivity apps out there, and FocusedOS tries to combine a few of them. The app, which is available for all Apple devices, can block distracting apps and websites, dim the entire screen except the window you’re looking at, and play ambient sounds. The idea is that you can enable all of these features with a single button press, get to work, and then disable everything again when you’re done.
GSD(GTD) with Focus Booster App – Review & Tutorial
To get started, simply download the application and decide which features you want to enable. The first tab, “Behavior,” lets you dim all windows except the one that is currently active. This is similar to the HazeOver application ($4.99). You can also limit the number of apps that can be displayed on the screen and add some custom text to the menu bar. Finally, there is a feature that lets you hide icons on the menu bar, similar to the Bartender application ($22). You can also hide the background or even go so far as to disable Wi-Fi completely. Note that none of these features are offered on the iPhone or iPad version of the application (mainly because they wouldn’t make sense there).
In the 'Atmosphere' tab you can choose from different background sounds. So you don't need a special application for background sounds.
There are also tools to block distracting apps and websites. You can choose which apps to block, or only allow specific applications to open. Websites are a bit easier: there are pre-built categories you can add, or you can add URLs yourself.
