Football Manager 25 has been significantly delayed and will no longer be released before the end of the year, with a statement admitting that the developers were "in too much of a rush".
FM25 POSTPONED AGAIN! What this means for Football Manager fans!
The latest addition to Sports Interactive’s long-running franchise has presented the team with significant challenges following the switch to Unreal Engine 5. Following recent criticism, the decision has been made to delay the launch of Football Manager 2025 until March 2025.
The devs admitted they were "rushing too much" and "risking compromising our usual standards" amid "an enormous amount of pressure" on the team. The decision to delay is intended to provide more time to "deliver the best possible experience."
The move to Unreal Engine 5, which Sports Interactive has repeatedly said heralds a new era for the Football Manager franchise, has resulted in a fraught development cycle for the studio, with an earlier announcement last month further suggesting an initial delay until November, along with confirmation that certain features would be cut from the title.
