The devs admitted they were "rushing too much" and "risking compromising our usual standards" amid "an enormous amount of pressure" on the team. The decision to delay is intended to provide more time to "deliver the best possible experience."
The move to Unreal Engine 5, which Sports Interactive has repeatedly said heralds a new era for the Football Manager franchise, has resulted in a fraught development cycle for the studio, with an earlier announcement last month further suggesting an initial delay until November, along with confirmation that certain features would be cut from the title.
