Grand Theft Auto Online has delivered a steady stream of high-octane criminal activities, ranging from robbing the local bank to stopping Elon Musk from destroying the world. Now, though, your character has the chance to take a step back from all that excitement and focus on something a little more humble: delivering pizza.

At first (and even when you think about it) it seems like a huge step backwards for the nameless GTA Online protagonist, who at this point is likely a multi-millionaire with a vast portfolio of legitimate and illegal businesses to his name. Quite why they were cosplaying Peter Parker and taking delivery jobs away from Los Santos residents who actually need them is anyone’s guess, but Rockstar asks you not to think about it and instead tempts you with some tempting free rewards.
As the studio recently announced, this new mechanic comes with a larger, overarching community challenge: if the GTA Online player base can collectively deliver 10 million pizzas to the hungry of Los Santos, everyone will receive a free pizza T-shirt. In addition to giving you something to Italianate, there are also personal goals to strive for. Complete five perfect deliveries to purchase your very own pizza delivery scooter at a discount, and 50 deliveries (perfection optional) will earn you a free pizza delivery uniform… which should really have come with the job.
These challenges only run until July 31st, though, so get in while the pizza's hot! To get started with GTA Online's new venture, simply visit any of the Pizza This pizzerias around town and ask for job openings. You'll already be familiar with the basic gameplay loop if you've managed any of the organizations in the game, as most of the business essentially boils down to delivery jobs anyway.
