BOO! Did I embarrass you? If so, get used to it because Fortnite’s Fortnitemares Halloween event is back with some spooky new friends, including Billy the Puppet from the SAW franchise.

Billy is taking over Fortnitemares by putting himself (he’s always loved gaming) into battle royale to fit in with the Halloween-themed, scary fun. Today’s update adds a lot to Fortnite, with more to come over the coming weeks.

The first new addition is the Boom Billy item, which can be found as ground or chest loot, or by fighting the real Billy in an updated Freaky Fields POI. A Boom Billy will place a small Billy doll on their tricycle, and it will latch onto the nearest opponent and quickly race towards them, attempting to detonate for explosive damage. The dolls can be outrun, but it won’t be easy.

Inspired by a new creepy skin for Leatherface that was previously leaked, ground loot and chests will also spawn a new Chainsaw item. The wood-tool and sometimes murder weapon can be used to "slash your way through enemies" or "blast it into the ground to propel yourself forward at terrifying speeds," according to Epic Games.
