Freezing specific rows and columns allows you to refer to key values while working on other parts of your Excel spreadsheet. Let's look at how to do that.
How to Freeze Multiple Rows and/or Columns in Excel Using Freeze Panes
This feature works best for title rows or columns that have identifying information for their respective fields. That way, you can scroll through the worksheet and still keep track of what each value represents. This is an essential feature that you should master in addition to the other Excel basics to navigate the interface properly.
To unlock these rows or columns, reopen Freeze Panes and select Unfreeze Panes. This will unfreeze all rows and columns that were frozen using either option.
