As the years go by, seasoned veterans of the gaming world slowly fall into what is known as "gaming fatigue", where they have no idea what to play next. Fortunately, discussions on the topic are not that rare, and players in a Reddit thread think they have the solutions.
Titanfall 2 in 2024 is incredible…
A Reddit user posted a question on the r/gaming subreddit on August 7, asking for help with their current "dream game" and expressing that "they're not excited about anything." So they asked around to see what people would play if they could, whether it was a sequel or something completely new, and they offered the example of a "completely new IP" with a lot of exploration, similar to the new Zelda games.
One user said he'd like to see a game similar to The Sims but with "better AI and crime." He described much of the sandbox-style gameplay we're familiar with from the GTA series: "Let me attack a guy in the produce aisle for stealing the last watermelon, then make me fight the cops in the parking lot while my wife and two kids watch." Depending on where Rockstar takes its next crime-infested title, we could see something like this materialize.
Another shared that their dream game has always been a video game adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower novels. “They all lend themselves so well to the genre,” they wrote, and given the way the books blend different genres, from dark fantasy to western to sci-fi, a game set in the universe could potentially spawn an entire franchise of direct adaptations and spinoffs.
