After a three-year hiatus following one of the most revolutionary stock market culture shocks in recent history, the standard-bearer of the 2021 GameStop boom, Keith “Roaring Kitty” Gill, has returned to social media.

When trading began this morning, May 13, news of Gill's resurgence sent shares of GameStop ($GME) soaring over 70 percent (at the time of writing).

Roaring Kitty's return to social media was sparked late last night when he posted the familiar meme of a gamer sitting upright in his chair with an arrow pointing forward. He followed this up later this morning with another meme reel, concluding with a scene from X-Men Origins: Wolverine in which Wolverine rises from a submerged water tank and lets out a roar, clearly indicating that he's back and awake. He also posted a scene from Breaking Bad in which Walter White menacingly tells Saul Goodman, "We're done when I say we're done."
