Garmin Forerunner 45 Review | GPS Watch for Runners
The Forerunner 45 is one of Garmin’s latest devices: a watch focused on running, with full GPS capabilities to track your runs, hikes, and rides. The FR45 looks and feels like a traditional digital watch, with a flexible rubber band, an intuitive button interface, and a no-nonsense graphic display. This watch is primarily aimed at runners and clearly gets its name from race training, though it’s also suited for other athletes looking to push themselves to the limit.
Despite its strong focus on running, walkers, hikers and cyclists will also get a lot out of this watch, as it includes specific sport modes for each activity. In addition to a variety of "widgets" for tracking your daily fitness, such as heart rate, step counting and calorie counting, the FR45 offers more advanced tools such as on-screen workouts with Garmin Coach adaptive training plans for racing over different distances.
The Garmin Forerunner 45 is quick and easy to set up. Download the Garmin Connect app on your phone or tablet (available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store) and you can easily sync it with the watch.
