After winning six consecutive matches in the 2024 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Summer Split, Gen.G has achieved the longest streak (24 series) in League esports history.

The League community has theories about Gen.G’s consistent performances this year. “The meta is perfect for Gen.G right now. It literally couldn’t be better. Tank tops, carry junglers, ad mids, engage supports,” one player said on Reddit, highlighting the meta plays well within the team’s overall playstyle. Others feel that Gen.G’s performances on stage have been phenomenal.
2024 has undoubtedly been the year of the Yellow Tigers. They won the LCK Spring Split, losing only one series to KT Rolster, the Mid Season Invitational, and they are undefeated in the Summer Split so far. These milestones already show their dominance this year, but they also have the longest active winning streak, surpassing the record of their arch-nemesis T1.
T1 previously held the record by winning 21 series in a row, including the famous LCK perfect split in 2022, in which they went 18 series undefeated with their active roster.
