Elden Ring and its DLC release, Shadow of the Erdtree, have been incredibly successful in many ways. It’s no surprise, then, that many fans are interested in a film or television adaptation, and a new blog post from George R. R. Martin suggests that those dreams may be closer to reality than many gamers expected.

Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki recently stated that he and FromSoftware were very interested in making a film adaptation of the game when speaking to The Guardian. He noted that one major hurdle would be having "a very strong partner" come into the game.

Following this, George RR Martin went out of his way to address the topic on his famous Not A Blog blog on June 29, stating he had “nothing to say.”

“Oh, and about those rumors you may have heard about a feature film or television series based on ELDEN RING… I have nothing to say,” he wrote rather coyly. “Not a word, no, nothing at all, I know nothing, you never heard a peep from me, Mom, Mom, Mom. What rumor?”
